Macy's Illegally Detaining Customers

by Whitney Lonker 7. July 2016 16:51

Planned Parenthood's Future in Florida

by Whitney Lonker 6. July 2016 13:29

Image result for Florida LegislatureNew abortion law regarding Planned Parenthood was halted by Florida District Judge Robert Hinkle on the first of July.  The law proposed new regulation on Planned Parenthood making it so that public funds cannot be used in their clinics regardless of its intended use.  Judge Hinkle saying that the Legislature is attempting to impose unconstitutional restrictions on public funding and that its goal is to discourage the clinics from performing abortions. This comes after a Supreme Court ruling only days earlier regarding a Texas law which attempted to burden Planned Parenthood in such a way that it would close many locations.  Hinkle uses this as part of his reasoning for halting the similar Florida Legislation.  There has yet to be a final say on the proposed legislation as it moves its way through the court system.

Prenuptial Agreements

Prenuptial Agreements, or Prenups, have a bad reputation in society today though in many situations they can prove very useful.  They can be used, as many first think of, to protect yourself in the event of a divorce by choosing to specify what money and assets are shared in the marriage or are personal. Prenups can be especially useful in situations where one or both spouses have children from another marriage, and if one has debts which they don’t want to pass on to their spouse once they are married, or for marriages where one or both spouses own a business and need to clarify things for taxes and other documentation issues that may arise.  They can also work similar to a will upon death by protecting the spouse from any debts you may have incurred and don’t want to pass on to them or by protecting children that you had before the marriage. There are a variety of situations when a prenup can be very helpful to you and your entire family!
